Cable One to Acquire Full Ownership

Cable One recently announced an agreement to acquire the remaining stake in Mega Broadban d Investments. The company currently owns about 45% of the firm. This new deal will give Cable One full ownership of the provider. The transaction is valued at approximately $485 million. This price is for the remaining 55% equity interest. This move supports Cable One’s strategy to expand fiber-based broadband services in rural markets.

The acquisition supports Cable One’s expansion of fiber-based broadband infrastructure. Mega Broadband serves approximately 210,000 residential and business customers. They operate across sixteen states in the US. The company has focused on expanding fiber-to-the-home infrastructure. This focus aligns with Cable One’s long-term growth strategy. 

Strategic Growth Through Fiber Network Expansion

The deal will close after meeting standard regulatory conditions. Cable One expects to finalize the purchase in the fourth quarter of 2026. This transaction will result in a larger fiber network footprint. It supports expanded fiber connectivity in smaller cities and towns. The combined company will reach more homes with advanced fiber optic technology
